![]() I am really interested in the StudioLive III generation boards (most likely the 16 when it comes out), but it is not clear if it will offer a similar easy workflow for recording, most of the currently available video material focuses on the mixing and FOH stuff. I use no DAW, as I find working with computers during playing and recording cumbersome (and I am an IT engineer!). Basically I arm tracks, and press the record button and it plays back any previously recorded tracks and records any armed tracks. This board has poor and limited effects and very basic preamps, just a stereo bus and 2 aux sends, no scenes or motorized faders but provides a very easy workflow for recording tracks while playing back already recorded tracks (including foot pedal support). I currently own a low-end 8 channel 32 track mixer (TASCAM DP32SD) that I use mainly for recording. ![]()
